Job Title: Sheeter Operator Apprentice Location: Clarksville, TN Shift: 2nd Shift (3pm-11:30pm Mon-Fri) Must be able to work 3rd shift during Peak Production times 3-4 months p/year Are you ready to start a new career with the leading manufacturer of Yearbooks and Commercial Printing? Jostens has a great entry-level opportunity for a candidate with mechanical ability, great attitude, excellent attendance record and a desire to learn and grow in their career! We are looking for a Sheeter Apprentice to assist the Sheeter Operator in the set-up, running and basic maintenance of the sheeter. This operator is responsible for learning all aspects of Sheeting operations while following department quality and productivity standards. He/She should reach a high level of knowledge and skills and be able to fill in as the operator on an as needed basis. In addition to this, the Sheeter Apprentice will perform the duties to support the operator as outlined below. Supports department goals and promotes Safety and a healthy work environment. This position has opportunity for growth and development into a Sheeter Operator role depending on the employee's performance and ability to learn and run the Sheeter. Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required. Working knowledge of all equipment, machinery, procedures, processes and paperwork within the department, or ability to learn. Paper sheeting operator experience a plus. Mental/Visual Demands – Continuous mental and visual attention, requiring constant alertness, activity and attention to detail. Must follow safety guidelines. Must be able to work within the physical requirements as listed below. Needs to support Jostens policies and procedures. Must be team minded and positive in all interactions with employees at every level. Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions. Need to be able to work with minimal supervision. Must be a self-starter with demonstrated decision making ability. Must possess excellent attendance and performance record. Must be able to work in team environment and have ability to direct crew. Must have ability to accurately read a tape measure within 1/32 of an inch. Must have mechanical ability and provide maintenance support for department machines. Must be able to start on day shift and move to an off shift (3rd) after a period of time.
