What You Will Be Doing
As the Sheetmetal Fabricator / Mechanical Assembler, the successful candidate will possess the KSAs (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) required to plan and safely execute all tasks necessary to produce high complexity / high precision formed sheet metal components, in a high mix low volume development shop environment. To be considered for this position the successful candidate must be highly experienced and possess journeyman level competency.
This position typically requires 4+ years of professional experience

Basic Qualifications:
• Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
• Position requires an in depth level of experience as a sheetmetal layout / fabrication technician
• Employee must have prior experience in the safe operation of punch press & press break metal forming equipment
• Position requires a basic understanding of GD&T specifications
• Ability to perform inspection of your work in process to assure compliance to specifications
• Experience in a quick turn job shop with Set-Up, Tooling, NC punch Programming
• Understanding and practice of “Clean as you go” discipline as part of 6S compliance.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Office applications and general PC competency
• Be willing and able to support other duties as assigned.
Desired Skills:
• Solid competency and understanding of GD&T specifications
• Familiarity with PTC Creo and or Dassault CATIA CAD applications
• Three Axis CNC Experience; such as Hurco, HAAS, CNC Bridgeport Acu-Rite G2 Control mills
• Welding experience or the desire to learn.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Description:
You will be the Sheetmetal Fabricator / Mechanical Assembler for the Engineering Prototype Lab (EPL) team. The EPL provides Lockheed Martin development phase program customers with high rapid response to their hardware development needs. This includes all manner of machined, fabricated, and Laser Powder Bed Fusion metal additively produced hardware. We provide engineering use only through full pedigree flight hardware in accordance with whatever our customers require.
