Job Title: Adult Clinician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Adult Clinician to provide comprehensive support and services to individuals experiencing crisis, mental health issues, substance use, and other challenges. This role involves crisis intervention, diagnostic evaluations, counseling, and the development of treatment plans to empower participants towards independence and long-term success.

ResponsibilitiesProvide crisis intervention services in response to emotional and/or physical distress.Conduct diagnostic evaluations and refer customers to Licensed Clinicians for treatment.Ensure adherence to infection control practices.Refer participants to external programs for medical and psychological interventions.Collect urine specimens for drug screening.Provide counseling services to mentally ill, alcohol-dependent, and/or homeless AIDS/HIV-positive customers.Orient new patients to treatment programs.Participate in treatment planning and individual/group counseling.Identify potential customers and inform them about agency programs.Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive treatment plans, maintaining regular contact with participants.Complete required paperwork and maintain customer confidentiality.Liaise, refer, and advocate for participants with social service providers, emphasizing self-empowerment.Participate in team meetings, seminars, and trainings.Collaborate with community providers on program content areas.Present program information to various agencies and referring agencies on a monthly basis.Essential SkillsMaster's degree in social work or a related field with a license (LCSW, LADC, LMFT, LPC).Three years of related clinical experience with homelessness, mental health, or substance use.Proficiency in databases, MS Office, written reports, and maintenance of case notes.Strong organizational, motivational, time management, and interpersonal skills.Ability to facilitate groups and a strong experience in counseling.Experience working with participants from diverse ethnic and economic backgrounds.Knowledge of Human Services, Justice system, Court systems, substance use, and target populations.Thorough knowledge of co-occurring disorders and social services in Hartford.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other service providers.Additional Skills & QualificationsBi-lingual (Spanish) is nice to have.Specialized training in crisis intervention, substance use, mental illness, domestic violence, or other applicable fields.Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment with standard office equipment. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The role may require occasional travel to various community sites and participation in community events.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $34.00
