SHEQ Officer

Mission:

The Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality Officer is responsible for Atlas Copco Philippines Inc’s (across all business areas) Safety, Health, and Environment goals and objectives.  Responsible for promoting, creating, and maintaining compliance to SHE programs to protect and preserve the environment, and ensure a safe work environment.

Responsibilities:

Implement the company's Safety, Health, and Environmental Policy consistently across the organization.Participate in monitoring, evaluating, and reviewing safety and health policies and practices, ensuring compliance with group policies and local legislation.Serve as the Company Safety Officer in line with Department of Labor and Employment requirements.Identify training needs for employees on safety, health, and environment, develop training programs, and deliver training as required.Conduct regular audits to evaluate the effectiveness of safety and health systems and procedures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.Regularly monitor and inspect health and safety aspects of operations with supervisors and workers, focusing on high-risk establishments.Ensure routine health and safety activities are carried out, including equipment testing, risk assessments, and record-keeping.Investigate accidents and take necessary steps to prevent recurrence; mitigate the impact and likelihood of health and safety risks.Maintain accurate records and files related to safety.Develop and promote health and safety awareness programs.Issue Work Stoppage Orders (WSO) when necessary, following OSH standards and procedures.Assist government agencies with safety inspections, accident investigations, and compliance with health and safety legislation requirements.Coordinate all health and safety training programs for employees and contractors.

Facilities Management

Facility management involves a broad range of tasks aimed at ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of a building or facility

Key responsibilities include:

Identify and assess the need for repairs within the office facility.Coordinate with relevant departments to schedule and carry out maintenance tasks.Ensure timely completion of repairs to minimize disruption to operations.Process working permits as needed to execute repairs.Oversee the delivery and installation of equipment or supplies, ensuring compliance with quality standards.Address any issues related to the building’s infrastructure, including utilities, security, and access control in collaboration with HR Department and Building Admin.Ensure compliance with building regulations and safety standards.
Coordinate with HR on matters affecting employees, such as workplace safety, space planning, and amenities.Other tasks that may be assigned from time to time

Experience Requirements

BOSH TrainingProfessional Licenses (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam), Engineering, Medical (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent

Educational requirements:

Graduate of any 4- or 5-year degree course
