As a Shift Coordinator, you’re a manufacturing professional dedicated to the safety of your team. You thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and are ready to jump in wherever you’re needed on the floor. You’re looking for a career with room to learn and grow, not just another job.
Responsibilities
Work flow: Receive work tickets, adjust machines and material requirements, and fill orders. Communicate with previous and next shift operators to ensure smooth shift transitions.Production: Oversee safety, machine operation, and finding piece defects. When size changes occur, ensure equipment is set up properly for the new job (uncoilers, straighteners, peelers, grinder saws, etc.). Perform the functions of Bar Finish Operator Level 1.Quality control: Check piece dimensions to ensure machine accuracy and make adjustments to achieve proper dimensions and surface condition.Maintenance: Change out chip buckets with each new grade-type processed. Replace straightener rollers and other parts as needed.Flexibility: Fulfill other duties as needed, including housekeeping, cross-training, and Operator-level maintenance.Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED required1+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably with some leadership experience.Able to stand for long periods of time and occasionally climb, kneel, crouch, and crawlAble to routinely lift/move 25 pounds, frequently lift/move 50 pounds, and occasionally lift/move 100 pounds safelyAble to work in a fast-paced, loud manufacturing environment with machinery and chemicalsDedicated to safety — every day, every shiftExcellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and make decisions preferredBenefits and Perks
