Shift Coordinator In Detox Unit
Local Pay: $28/hr Travel Pay: $1,140 (Taxable: $740 + Stipend: $400) Setting: Psych Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Nights 4x10s POSITION DESCRIPTION The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities or qualifications associated with the position. Employees are held accountable for all functions of this position. Position Title: Shift Coordinator I Team: Clinical Position Summary: Provide milieu management tasks such as observation of client behavior and progress towards treatment goals, being available to clients for one-on-one support as needed, and maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment. Provide support to the Clinical Manager by serving as Lead to the SUD (Substance Abuse Disorder) team. Essential Functions: • Lead a work group and provide direction on a daily basis. Provide feedback to employees. • Assist Clinical Manager with reviewing resumes and interviewing candidates. • Serve as the primary trainer of all new staff or designates a senior member of the team to provide this training. • Assist with scheduling. • Assist the Clinical Manager with the daily operations of the Unit, including identifying and organizing supplies needs, receipts from purchases and ensuring that all paperwork is accounted for and completed correctly. • Assist in the development and implementation of treatment and disposition plans that address the client as a whole person. • Participation in crisis and behavior management/de-escalation interventions as needed, according to state regulations, training, and established best practices. • Develop and facilitate psychoeducational groups. • Assist with case management functions as needed. • Assist with intake procedures including decontamination, documentation, inventory of client belongings, and orientation to the facility. • Assist with discharge procedures. • Conduct one-on-ones to ensure that the treatment team has a comprehensive understanding of the client’s self-identified needs. • Provide trauma-informed interventions that minimize harm and restrictive measures and empower clients to share responsibility in their recovery plan. • Maintain a safe therapeutic environment that emphasizes recovery, resilience and building a sense of community. Other Functions (required of all positions): ? Adheres to Code of Conduct, core values, policies, procedures, guidelines, and compliance plan ? Effectively interacts and communicates with other staff, clients, customers, and partners to build relationships and address and resolve issues ? Regular and consistent attendance is required to perform other essential functions of the job ? Meets defined individual and team goals, metrics, and Key Performance Indicators ? Actively participates in performance review process ? Timely completes all annual and other required trainings ? Protects all confidential information ? Other duties as assigned Education: ? High school diploma or equivalent is required. ? For candidates without the Certified Addiction Technician (CAT) credential, bachelor’s level degree is required. Experience: ? Two years' of related experience and/or training. Certification, Licensure: ? Certified Addiction Technician (CAT) is required (with High School diploma). For bachelor’s prepared candidates, CAT requirement is waived. ? Current CPR/First Aid Certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire. ? Preferred: Valid Colorado Driver's License with a driving record that meets organization's requirements. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: ? Effective written and verbal communication skills. ? Effective leadership and problem-solving skills. ? Professional and timely communication assessing and describing client observations to applicable staff. ? Ability to assess crisis situations and intervene appropriately. ? Understanding and ability to work with differing behavioral health presentations. ? Effective organizational skills. ?
