Duties and tasks related to the Shift Engineer role include

Proficient knowledge of IT systems and completing tasks such as installing and configuring computer hardware and operating systems is essential for this roleSupport with IT related tasks such as setting up workstations and printers and troubleshooting any IT issuesBeing responsible for carrying out any required engineering or maintenance tasksPerforming repairs and maintenance in guest bedrooms, public and back of house areas, ensuring they are maintained to a high level and exceed guest expectationsConducting general repairs and maintenance including electrical, mechanical, air-conditioning, fire protection, carpentry, and plumbing, ensuring that all tasks are completed on schedule and compliant with required standards and safety regulationsCompleting planned preventive maintenance within the plant rooms, bedrooms and public areasRegularly inspect the entire building with particular attention to safety features and to monitor thecondition of all operating equipmentWorking closely with the security departing in overseeing Health Safety

About You

You should have a strong understanding of general maintenance and engineering tasks in a hotel and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. A qualification in specialised areas such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing is beneficial. Asyou will have regular interaction with our guests, excellent communicationskills are essential. Proficient knowledge of IT systems and troubleshooting IT issues is desirable.
