What Are Looking For:
An experienced Foreman to guide the daily work flow of various mechanical, electrical, assembly, winding, and/or other departments throughout the shop.
What You Will Do:
o Direct the daily shop-floor work of the shift including distributing work to Technicians and ensuring work is completed in the designated time frame.
o Communicate clearly and concisely while providing directions to employees.
o Ensure tools and equipment are available and in good working condition in order to work efficiently and effectively.
o Work directly with vendors and/or customers regarding repair and issues during the off shifts (if applicable).
o Train and mentor Technicians in all department positions.
o Assist Coordinator in managing department employees including providing performance feedback to Coordinator.
o Conduct performance corrective counseling in consultation with the department Coordinator and/or Human Resources.
o Manage department and employees in the absence of the Coordinator.
o Foster good employee/management relations.
o Promote teamwork by exhibiting positive teamwork with employees.

o Assist all levels of Technicians with jobs including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, assembly, machining, and/or winding.
o Assist with preparation of work-scopes and coordination of all repairs.
o Perform in-house repair evaluations and testing as needed per customers’ specifications.
o Communicate with customers on technical questions and specifications.
o Communicate and cooperate effectively with Shop Manager or Department Foreman to meet or exceed customers’ expectations and ensure a smooth work flow.
o Maintain working knowledge of repair and testing equipment to assist Technicians as needed. Equipment includes but is not limited to electrical testing equipment, bake ovens, grinders, cranes, forklift trucks, torches, and various hand held power and non-power tools.
o Ensure completed work meets Flanders Electric Standards and complies with the ISO Quality System.
o Observe all safety procedures and use proper safety equipment as needed.
o Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment at all times.
o Operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner at all times.
o Promote strong company image and maintain positive working relationships at all times including professional behavior with customers (frequently), vendors, and co-workers including management throughout the company (daily basis).
o Provide outstanding customer service at all times.
o Perform work according to established company policies and procedures.
o Perform other duties as requested.
What You Need:
Education:
o High school diploma or equivalent required. A trade and industry certification preferred.
Experience:
o Three years mechanical, electrical, machining, assembly, and/or winding experience.
o Experience in a lead and/or leadership role.
Other:
o Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings.
o Ability to perform basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division including understanding fractions and percentages.
o Ability to make decisions during shift without Coordinator or Manager present.
o Good written and verbal communication skills.
o Good organizational skills.
o Good problem solving skills.
o Good knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office software.
o Ability to foster good employee/management relations and build a strong team effort to fulfill customers’ expectations.
o Ability to promote teamwork and direct work of employees.

o Ability to read, write, and comprehend complex written and verbal instructions.
