This position is responsible for assisting with the management of the operational, fiscal, and personnel activities of the Event Security and Usher staff during events including overseeing the staffing, scheduling, development, and day-to-day activities.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:
Oversees the day-to-day operations, makes daily operating decisions and assigns tasks to staffAssists with hiring, training, evaluating, and supervising on-call supervisorsWorks closely with the Supports Operations department in the weekly scheduling for ushers/ticket takersCreates work assignments and schedules that maximize shift production and labor efficiencyDelivers department new hire orientation and completes departmental training and performance appraisalsConducts event pre-shift meetings to communicate important safety measurementsAssists in reviewing current operations, policies, SOP’s, SPP’s, and recommends ways to streamline operationsResponsible for submitting an end-of-event shift report to the Security Events & Transportation ManagerSecondary Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for shift scheduling including work assignments, training, employee breaks, overtime assignments, back-up for absent employees, work trades and shift rotationsDetermines shift operating methods, structures and procedures consistent with goals established by the Security department and other related departmentsAssists with resolving employee conflicts and issuesAssists Supporting Department Management teams during property events in supervisory roles as assignedResponds to and follows-up with guest issues and special requestsAssists with compiling detailed records of each showEnsures that all alcohol laws and regulations are followed and enforced, including intoxication, underage drinking and refusing of serviceSupervises the Security Events & Operations staff and assists with planning the security and ushering needs for all entertainment venues Including cross training team members to work both areasWorks with tour personnel to meet the specific needs for all entertainers performing at Mohegan SunMaintains the safety and security of guests, performers and tour personnel throughout the propertyActs as an escort for entertainers, VIPs and dignitariesCoordinates with Mohegan Tribal Police with incidents, investigations and resolving issues, as neededSupervises safety checks for We Care at entrancesInvestigates incidents and documents using the Security Reports Writing system, ensuring accuracy and detailOversees all aspects of guest entry & seating for all venuesWorks in conjunction with the box office for re-seats and displacements due to unforeseen obstructionsCoordinates with Entertainment Production management for special assignments including re-numbering and seat layoutsMinimum Education and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalentThree years of experience in personnel staffing and scheduling, shift supervision and operational planningTwo years of experience as a venue Supervisor or equivalentMust be highly organized and detail-orientedIntermediate knowledge of Word, Excel and OutlookAbility to work events and communicate with multiple departments at all levelsMust be capable of interacting with the public in a highly professional manner, including public speakingCompetencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:

Must complete all appropriate Human Resources Supervisor Training classesUnderstanding of the software and systems used by the VIP and Players Club departmentsIntermediate knowledge of Mohegan Sun’s Time & Attendance and Payroll Systems and Manager Self Service systems Knowledge of various department policies and proceduresSMART Alcohol AwarenessPhysical Demands and Work Environment:
