Shift Manager

Here at GXO, we are looking for a Shift Manager to join our team in Daventry, helping to support our Daikin contract. You will play a vital role in ensuring colleagues meet, or exceed, their operational requirements within specific contracts. You will also work alongside management to supervise warehouse-related processes and associated warehouse functions as required.

 

This is a full time, permanent position, predominately working Monday – Friday, with the occasional weekend work on a rotational shift pattern of, 06:00 – 14:30 and 14:00 – 22:30.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £41,500.00 per annum and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

Monitor, motivate, and evaluate Warehouse Operatives performances to ensure customer expectations are being achieved/exceeded Ensure that training and development requirements of Warehouse Operatives are carried out efficiently To be conversant with site Health and Safety requirements and ensure all members of staff and visitors are compliant with these requirements Respond to and deal with customer or colleague communication, often through emails or phone calls Deal with the initial stages of colleague welfare, and ensure all are treated fairly

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

Previous supervisory experience within a similar environment An Analytical and logical approach to problem solving The ability to work on own initiative as well as lead a team Flexible with work hours and days, with the availability to work overtime when required Excellent team leadership skills with the ability to develop and coach teams to ensure excellent performance
