Shift Manager

The Shift Manager is a shift-based, front-line supply and operations people leader of 25+ associates. The Shift Manager’s are responsible for safety, quality, and operational targets while driving continuous improvement through performance management, associate training/development and team engagement.

What we are looking for:

Minimum Requirements:

College degreed-preferably Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration. 3-10 years in a technical manufacturing continuous improvement environment1+ year(s) experience in a people management roleMust have hands on experience working in a manufacturing environmentComputer savvy with MS Office, specifically Excel. Experience in budgeting, performance management. Preferred TPM training or Quali

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift/carry (10-55 lbs) & push/pull (50-200 lbs).Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stooping.Ability to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform, climb stairs, leaning over equipment.Ability to stand and / or work on feet for extended periodsAbility to work in varies manufacturing environments and non-temperature-controlled rooms.Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

Preferred Qualifications:

3+ years experience in a manufacturing setting2+ people management experience in a manufacturing companySpecific experience in a food, beverage and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing areaWorking knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices

What will your key responsibilities be?

Manage and motivate a team 25+ associates to meet KPIs with a quality and safety mindset while driving associate engagement and development.Implement changes in methods, equipment, systems and organization, as needed, to assure the objectives of the line/area are met, and give input and recommendations for such changes by using a Continuous Improvement mindsetCollaborate with the Area Leadership team to improve strategies to help the line/area perform more effectively.Coach operators to build their functional and leadership capabilities and to drive accountability.Coordinate materials, staffing and resources to support line operation and changeovers.Ensure the ongoing production and conversion of material into quality products in safe and defect free products consistent with the principles of Mars.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits.  Eligibility for these additional elements depend on the position offered and the employee’s work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule, store associate).  Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
