Cleveland-Cliffs, Coshocton Works, located in East Central Ohio, a stainless finishing operation and one of the nation’s leading producers of flat rolled stainless steel, has an immediate opening for a Shift Manager in Mechanical Maintenance. Summary of Responsibilities : + Administration of company policies and procedures + Direct supervision of Mechanical Maintenance personnel in a union environment + Participate in the operation's manufacturing, safety, quality, and environmental programs to ensure plant objectives are met and exceeded + Adhere to the Quality Policy to promote continuous improvement of our products and processes + Attain results through effective planning, organizing, controlling, and assignment of priorities + Maintain effective and consistent work performance, even under uncertain or unstructured conditions in the face of stress + Identify basic problem(s), gather the appropriate information, and analyze then in an effective manner + Make decisions with a clear business focus on safety, quality, and productivity + Perform safety and quality audits/observations within the department to detect existing or potential accident hazards, or quality defects + Assist in the development, review, and update of JSHA’s (Job Safety and Health Analysis) to eliminate safety hazards + Facilitate weekly safety contacts/safety meetings Minimum Qualifications : + Experience in heavy manufacturing maintenance + Working knowledge of the skills of the craft including welding, hydraulics/ pneumatics , blueprint reading, and troubleshooting + Ability to coordinate and execute a multitude of projects with minimal supervision within the allotted time and budget + Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, problem-solving and time-management skills + Ability to work weekends as necessary and overtime as needed for breakdowns and outages when they occur Preferred Qualifications: + Associates or Bachelors degree in technical or engineering + Managerial experience including safety, quality, environmental, cost management and budgeting + Three + years of supervisor experience in an industrial union environment Cleveland-Cliffs is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America.
