Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has an immediate opportunity for a Shift Manager Operations at our Coatesville, PA operation. This role is responsible for coordinating daily activities in the operation site, supervising hourly crews and improving overall efficiency by proper utilization of the resources and all of its components.

Summary of ResponsibilitiesSchedules routine activities. Supervises completion of work assignments and follows established department plansMaintains general discipline of the crew in meeting the daily production, safety and quality objectives. Instructs personnel in job requirements, company rules and practicesCoordinates production and maintenance activities with different departments, assists in developing continuous improvement plansMonitors site's operation, adheres to safety, environmental, quality, and productivity performance standards and performs regular auditsLeads employees' training and performance review programs. Improves overall production, processes and services efficiencyOther duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent work experience2-5 years of supervisory experience in heavy manufacturing environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsSolid computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office products

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s DegreePrevious supervisory experience in an industrial/manufacturing environmentSteel manufacturing experience preferredExperience in a union environment
