Shift Process Engineering Technician

Position:        Process Engineering Technician – Night Shift

Reports To:  Engineering Manager

                            

Position Description:

First responder to all process defects and failures – helps operator place accurate information into the QNRespond to process priorities as directed by on shift leadershipUtilize troubleshooting guides for defect investigationsMaintain accurate QN database with all required informationProvide input to Process Engineer for defect eliminationRecord all process changes in the Change Log as required by TL9000Provide instruction and training on process changes as requiredAssist Process Engineering in maintaining production tooling inventoriesSupport process trials and projects as requiredAssist shift Maintenance TSA’s as required.Ensure all product meets requirements as defined by the Plant’s Quality Management SystemsComply with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and guidelinesOther duties as assigned by supervisor or a member of management 

Education:  

Required:         Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent technical work experience  

Preferred:        Six-Sigma Green Belt

Experience

Required:

Minimum of five years in an optical fiber / cable manufacturing facility or equivalentMust complete OJT for specific job classification, as required, in a timely manner

Preferred:

Previous experience in a technician role.Proficiency in at least two optical cable manufacturing processes
