MAU is hiring a Second Shift Production Supervisor for Macuch Steel Products in Augusta, GA. As a Production Supervisor, you will oversee all shop floor operations and ensure compliance with the Macuch Steel Employee Handbook. Your key responsibilities will include optimizing production efficiency, controlling costs, managing personnel, facilitating effective communication, promoting a safe work environment, and delivering high-quality products. Strong experience in structural steel fabrication and machinery is essential. This is a direct-hire opportunity.
Benefits Package Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid vacation Paid holidays Paid time off Opportunity for advancement Relocation bonus On-the-job training Shift Information Sunday – Thursday; 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM Required Education and Experience 3+ years of experience in shop floor production, preferably with a focus on structural steel 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or foreman role General Requirements Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, safety guidelines, operational manuals, and procedure documents Experienced in operating both CNC and manual machines Strong math skills, including proficiency in performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with fractions Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Occasionally required to lift and/or move weights over 100 pounds Essential Functions Supervise and train department employees, ensuring alignment with company standards and best practices Enhance process efficiency and optimize resource allocation to drive departmental performance Facilitate effective information exchange across departments, stakeholders, and teams Monitor and manage departmental expenses to maintain cost-efficiency Uphold rigorous quality and safety standards, meeting both regulatory and company requirements Provide outstanding customer service by proactively addressing inquiries and resolving concerns Communicate clearly and professionally across all levels, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills Cultivate a positive, collaborative environment by promoting open communication, mutual respect, and teamwork Perform additional duties as assigned Physical Demands In this role, the employee will operate heavy machinery and various tools, with tasks that frequently require standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. #PS
