Job Description: Shift Supervisor (Thin Film Operations – KAO1)
Location: Kaohsiung, Taiwan (KAO1)
Department: Thin Film Operations
Job Purpose:
We are seeking Shift Supervisors to support the operational stability and safety of P1, P3, and P5 production lines at KAO1. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring smooth production, real-time problem-solving, and adherence to safety protocols across all shifts, including nights and weekends. The position offers an excellent opportunity to develop leadership skills and gain experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
Your Role:
1. Safety & Compliance
• Ensure safe work practices and compliance with company safety policies.
• Promote a strong safety culture by monitoring workplace conditions and coaching team members.
• Support incident investigations and assist in implementing corrective actions.
2. Production & Operations Management
• Oversee daily production activities and support team leaders in maintaining operational efficiency.
• Work with production teams to identify and resolve issues that may impact quality or output.
• Ensure smooth shift transitions by maintaining clear communication and shift handover reports.
3. Problem-Solving & Technical Support
• Provide hands-on support to address production challenges and minimize downtime.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting of process or equipment issues, escalating when necessary.
• Work with team leaders to improve workflow and efficiency on the production line.
4. Leadership & Team Coordination
• Act as a key contact between operators, team leaders, and management.
• Support team development by coaching and guiding production staff.
• Foster a collaborative work environment and encourage continuous improvement.
Who you are:
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing, production, or a related industry (semiconductor experience is a plus).
• Previous experience in team coordination or leadership is an advantage.
Technical Skills
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (experience in thin film processes is a plus).
• Willingness to learn troubleshooting techniques and process improvement methods.
• Awareness of safety regulations and workplace best practices.
Soft Skills
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with different departments.
• Ability to work independently and handle emergency situations effectively.
• Proactive attitude with a focus on problem-solving and continuous learning.
