Position Summary:
Coordination of all manufacturing activities required to meet company manufacturing, customer service, financial and safety objectives.
Job Responsibilities:Provides managerial, technical and training leadership and support for all manufacturing units.Ensures all shift activities are conducted under company safety, quality and regulatory (USDA, Kosher, etc) guidelines.Promotes safety, sanitation and organization on a daily basis.Fully understands the operation and flow of all processes and equipment in all departments including the AS400.Prioritizes and schedules all shift activities and resources to meet the daily production schedule and ensures the best possible customer service and productivity.Provides daily follow up, for all manufacturing units, on all orders scheduled for shipment.Schedules and ensures training for all Operators as necessary.Tracks adherence to all Nutrition Personnel Policies and departmental procedures. Takes appropriate actions to correct deviations. Writes annual performance reviews of all reports.Enhances the overall Operations department’s commitment to Inventory Record Accuracy.Investigates root causes and sets corrective action plans for all quality, yield and other departmental deviations. Ensures ISO 9001 and HACCP procedures are followed by all reports.Communicates, fosters and expands continuous improvement and teamwork initiatives throughout the Operations group.Communicates all night shift manufacturing, quality, safety and personnel concerns on deviations to Department Team Leaders or Operations Director.
Takes a lead role in any emergency or security situations, which may occur while on duty.Polices all areas of the facility for any safety or security concerns.Contribute to team effort by performing other duties and assignments as required.Job Requirements:High School Diploma (or equivalent) or above preferred.Previous flavor or other food company manufacturing experience.Supervisory and/or drying, reaction or compounding experience preferred.Outstanding performance as a production operator.Self-motivated desire for continuous improvement.Proven leadership skills.Computer experience.Excited about this role but don’t meet every requirement listed?
