Your role will be crucial in coordinating day-to-day operations, overseeing the custody and control of individuals served, and ensuring the safety of the entire facility. You’ll take ownership of building security, company property, and maintain a secure, safe environment at all times. Your leadership will set the tone for a well-organized, protected atmosphere for both staff and individuals. **Key Responsibilities** + **Policy Development and Implementation** Assists in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and regulations for the custody, security, and treatment of individuals served. + **Shift Briefings and Staff Coordination** Conducts shift briefings, communicates updates on individuals served, and manages employee attendance, appearance, and post assignments. + **Employee Supervision and Development** Directs employee work, including hiring, evaluating performance, training, development, and managing disciplinary actions, including terminations. + **Crisis Management and Diffusion** Responds to unusual occurrences, provides appropriate assistance in case of injury, illness, or emotional trauma, and diffuses critical situations involving individuals served. + **Search and Movement Oversight** Monitors search procedures, individuals served movement, resolves complaints, and takes immediate corrective action for security employees when necessary. **Qualifications & Requirements** **Education:** + Required: High school diploma or equivalent. **Experience:** + Required: Three (3) years of experience working in a healthcare or mental health treatment facility. + Required: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. + Preferred: One (1) year of supervisory experience. **Licenses/Certifications:** + Required: Must be a Certified Correctional Officer as established and required by the applicable State Commission, if required by state. + Required: Must possess a valid state driver’s license. **We are an Equal Employment Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer** We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. **We encourage you to apply!** If you are excited about a role but your experience doesn’t seem to align perfectly with every element of the job description, we encourage you to apply.
