The Surveillance Shift Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Shift Manager in overseeing Gaming Surveillance Room operations, assigning tasks to Surveillance Specialists, and maintaining the administrative paperwork of the Shift and of the Specialists assigned to the shift. It is essential for the position to set a good example and act as a liaison between the Specialists, Shift Manager, department management and outside departments.
The primary duties include but are not limited to ensuring the adherence to the Wynn system of internal controls, enforcing property and department business processes, ensuring regulation compliance, maintaining communication with Nevada Gaming Control Board and surveillance management. Assist in maintaining a proactive vs. reactive approach and philosophy of the Surveillance Department, assist in training of the Surveillance staff to include but not limited to gaming regulations and gaming compliance, cheating, games protection, internal theft and fraud, Title 31 compliance training, new hire training, and department succession training. Other duties expected include performing the Surveillance Specialist tasks, verifying their results and securing evidence before disseminating the information to the proper recipients. The Shift Supervisor will also be in charge of the shift and its operations in the absence of the Shift Manager.Shift Supervisors are required to adhere, support, enforce and assist with the department training and development program to include but not limited to skill requirements, policies and critical knowledge requirements.QualificationsA minimum of 2 years casino surveillance or gaming experience is required. Knowledge of Nevada Gaming Regulations, Title 31, the protection and cheating methods involved with all table games, slots and other casino departments are required. High levels of confidentiality and strong computer skills are required. A Nevada Gaming Registration is needed at time of hire.Candidates must meet the environmental requirements which include working in any area they are required to observe.
