Engineering/Shift Technician JLL/JPMC Glasgow

Job Purpose

To undertake all aspects of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Reactive Maintenance, small projects and Help Desk Calls in accordance with both client and JLL requirementsTo manage and monitor the building operational functionsTo be responsible for the buildings operational assets and systems whilst on shiftTo issue permit to work for all specialist vendors and carryout appropriate isolations via LOTOTo complete HV training ( tbc ) and switch HV and LV supplies as required

Aims and Objectives

To assist and support the Building services supervisor in all functions, to ensure HSE, statutory and contractual compliance

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Escalation of incidentsAll aspects of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Reactive Maintenance, and Help Desk Calls managed and completed whilst on shift.Provide holiday and sickness coverStaff supervision including sub-contractors and specialist providers.Be proactive with regard to preventative maintenance and extra works.Operate JLL QA and HSE policy and  proceduresMaintain clear and legible records as required.Provide written incident reports as required.Interaction with JLL support staff, providing information as requiredSwitching of HV and LV supplies as required

Occasional Allied Duties

To deputise as BSS support as required.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

The knowledge, skills, qualifications, competencies and experience relevant to the position are:

Essential

City & Guilds Parts 1 and 2 (Electrical Installation 2360) or recognised equivalent; or18th Edition Institute of Electrical Engineers (I.E.E) Registration or recognised equivalent.Experience gained within a critical maintenance environmentA good working knowledge of BMS, and critical assets and systems i.e. UPS, Emergency Generation, Electrical and Mechanical distribution, Air conditioningAbility to interpret technical information and work with the team to provide solutions to technical / complex issuesGood leadership qualities, with a desire to progress within the business

Desirable

HV ApprovedBTEC ONC Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Building Services or recognised equivalentExperience in a supervisory role
