POSITION SUMMARY
Shift Traffic Coordinators are expected to effectively manage the Tank Inventory System & Oil Movements Manager systems in order to orchestrate the execution of the daily operational plan, monitor activity and capture information concerning product movements, reimbursable activities and inventory accounting.
Additionally, the Shift Traffic Coordinator position will be utilized for training Shift Supervisor candidates from the operation’s group by providing a perspective of overall terminal operations.

+ High School Diploma or extensive terminal operations experience in lieu of High School Diploma
+ 5 years related experience working in the terminal industry required
+ TCT Operations experience, or adequate knowledge concerning TCT terminal operations required
+ Knowledge of petroleum products and industry terminology required
+ Product scheduling (marine, rail & truck) experience is desirable
+ Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks concurrently
+ Strong attention to detail, with the ability to proof work for accuracy
+ Ability to coordinate effectively and with other terminal departments, as well as with external customers required
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills required
+ Proficient PC skills required, Experience with DCS systems desirable
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
+ Effectively carry out tasks necessary in operation of TIS: interpreting gauge movements, innage & ullage, high and low level alarms, create set points, switch gauge and temperature indications b/w automatic and manual, create tanks-to-watch displays, interpret expected time-to-completion information, and acknowledge, investigate and communicate alarms
+ Effectively carry out tasks necessary in operation of OMM: creating orders and movements, starting/stopping/closing orders and movements, reconciling movement information, creating/starting/stopping misc. reimbursable activities, and acknowledge, investigate and communicate alarms
+ Interpret operational planning documents and verify all data is appropriately and accurately configured in OMM; correct & modify as necessary
+ Coordinate with Shift Supervisor and shift operators to execute and accomplish operational plan
+ Monitor operational activity for accuracy and communicate expected action times
+ Request and update vessel and barge documentation and ensure all marine transports coming to BWC are properly vetted and approved
+ Generate necessary reports including daily operations status and activities completed, in-progress reporting, daily inventory reporting, ad hoc reports as necessary
+ Provide support to Operations & Traffic in creating solutions to changes in operational plans
+ Coordinate truck activity during shift and verify and/or generate all necessary documentation for the safe loading/unloading of trailers necessary
+ Participate in monitoring of TIS/OMM systems for reliability and accuracy of information
+ Train with Operations as necessary to remain current with terminal configuration and logistic capabilities
+ Maintain TIS/OMM status to reflect accurately the activities in progress in the terminal at all times
+ Assure backlog of OMM old or cancelled items are clean and current
+ Shift activity & KPI reports
+ Daily inventory reports
+ Updates to daily plan documents
+ Maintain TIS/OMM Problem Log
