Shift: Monday - Friday, 11pm to 7am plus mandatory overtime as required

$3000 retention bonus [ $500 at 90 days, $1000 at 6 months and $1500 at 1 year]

Job Summary

The primary function of this position is to provide on the job training and skills evaluations for Teammates assigned to production and warehousing operations. With guidance from the HR Specialist this position works closely with the Shift Trainer Lead, Manufacturing Team Member 3 (MTM 3) and Department Leads to execute the training schedule as planned on time, with accurate training documentation. Provides skill evaluations and skill gap analysis. Provides training effectiveness feedback to the HR Specialist and Shift Trainer Lead and recommends updates and changes that will improve training outcomes. Provides feedback to Supervision for inclusion into performance reviews.

Core Responsibilities

Observes safety and security procedures; Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines.

Supports the company Quality Policy, Mission Statement and ISO Quality System.

Provides timely training and skill evaluations ensuring all are completed in accordance with relevant standard operating procedures.

Works with HR Generalist, Department Manager/HR Manager and Shift Trainer Lead to analyze different jobs and identify specific tasks/skills required for each.

Conducts SOP, visual aids and work instruction training.

Updates and maintains all training records as required.

Working with Shift Trainer Lead, MTM 3, Department Leads and Departmental Supervisors evaluates and monitors new teammates training plan progress through follow-up observation sessions from a teammate’s first day of employment through their first 90 days of employment with evaluations administered to newly hired teammates in 30, 60, and 90 day increments.

Provides training based off training request forms as assigned.

Participates in Training Review Board Activities as required.

Assist with new product launch and pilot runs ensuring Teammates receive proper training. Provides backfill for training duties performed by the MTM 3 and Department Leads.

Able to perform at a minimum of a MTM3.

Performs additional duties as directed.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED is required.

Possession of certifications in training and/or leadership a plus.

Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and SAP data entry.

Or any equivalent combination of education and experience to meet position requirements.

Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience.

Minimum 1 year of experience as MTM 2.

Preferred 1 year of experience as MTM 3.

Or any combination of relevant education and experience to meet the above requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must possess a proven ability to instruct individuals and groups in various learning techniques and an ability to obtain desired training results.

Meets productivity standards; Works quickly; Completes work in timely manner.

Self- motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. Must have good

organizational skills with the ability to work with attention to detail. Follows well.

Must possess good interpersonal and facilitation skills required to establish effective working relationships.

Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, listen and get clarification, respond well to questions, demonstrate group presentation skills, and participate in meetings.

Prepares and maintains accurate reports, metrics, and other tracking tools related to the Training function.

Maintain high level of service and work performance, and also support and promote a positive and cooperative team environment which fosters creative problem solving and shared learning.

Good communication skills both verbal and written including ability to clearly communicate through reports and documentation.

Must be willing to complete training courses as deemed necessary by HR Department.

Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing and Documentation Practices.

Adapts to changing environments and varying daily tasks easily.

Demonstrates strong organization and time management skills.

Learns job-related material through verbal instruction and observation, in a job setting, or through assigned reading and/or seminars.
