**Description** **Tradesmen International** is immediately hiring skilled **Shipfitters** for projects located in and around **Philadelphia, PA.** This is job offers multiple shifts with a pay rate of up to **$33/hour** based on experience & skill level. If you are a Shipfitter and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! **Job Scope:** + Fabricate, assemble, & install structural components such as bulkheads, frames, & hull sections using various metalworking techniques & equipment + Measure, cut, & shape parts together using appropriate techniques & equipment + Install & fit components and systems including piping, ventilations, ducts, & machinery supports in accordance with project plans & specifications + Perform repairs & modifications to existing ship structures as needed + Inspect work pieces and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards & regulatory requirements + Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment + Collaborate with other tradespeople, engineers, & project managers to ensure efficient project execution + Maintain accurate records of work performed & materials used + Other tasks as assigned **Requirements:** + 5+ Years of Experience as a Shipfitter or in a similar role; Preferably in a Maritime Shipbuilding Environment + Proficient in reading & interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, & specifications + Must pass background check + Strong welding & metalworking skills; experience with various welding processes; arc welding, MIG & TIG welding, etc. + Familiarity with shipbuilding materials, tools, & equipment + Knowledge of shipbuilding principles & practices + Attention to detail & precision in workmanship + Ability to work independently and as a part of a team + Good communication & Interpersonal skills + Ability to lift heavy objects **Company Details** Tradesmen International not only offers consistent work, top pay, and employment opportunities, we also provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry.
