This is a position that will expand your knowledge in the fields of logistics and packaging as it applies to valuable equipment in a secure high-tech company. You will have the opportunity to learn our SAP Operating System and work closely with internal teams on continual improvements including packaging projects, Standard Operating Procedures, efficiencies, cost reductions, as well as individual and team performance. Expected Contributions: As one of our Shipping Logistics team members you will be responsible for a variety of shipping functions such as Picking, Packaging, Shipping, Tracing, Completing the international shipping documentation requirements to ensure on time delivery of our products to our customers. • Schedule shipments with carriers (via truck, air, and ocean) and follow up to ensure on time delivery • Ensure shipping information (BOLs, commercial invoice, B13A, tracking, TDG Declaration etc..) are entered accurately and in a timely manner • Coordinate equipment crate orders with vendors, purchasing, order management and carriers to ensure on time delivery • Expedite and provide shipment updates as required to key stakeholders • Coordinate crating requirements and work with key stakeholders such as production and order management to ensure shipping deadlines are met • Create/update shipping & packaging SOPs as required • Ensure cost effective purchasing of shipping materials as required • Operate forklift trucks and/or hand pallet trucks to load, unload and transport parts and equipment • Complete virtual shipping transactions as required • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction • Excellent time management and prioritizing skills • Must be hands on, organized, detail oriented and proactive • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and a high level of customer service for internal and external customers • Able to multi-task and resolve conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) • Post-secondary education in international logistics or customs compliance will be a great asset • An up-to-date understanding of current Custom & Traffic requirements in the high-tech industry is an asset • SAP/MRP knowledge is an asset • Willing and able to move heavy objects up to 50 lbs (heavier product requires two-man lift) • Other duties as assigned related with the logistic process. • 3 years logistics experience EOE Policy Statement: All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability.
