POSITION OVERVIEW
Perform the processing and clerical functions necessary to prepare and ship parts, finished goods out. Receives incoming supplies or parts for storage or requisitioning departments. Distribute materials/components to appropriate departments or storage areas.
JOB DESCRIPTION (Key Responsibilities)
Prepare in-process parts, finished goods, or materials for transfer or delivery. Includes: Calling trucking companies, suppliers, etc., sealing shipping cases, palletizing and banding shipping cases, loading trucks, and completing the necessary paperwork (packing lists, invoices, bill of ladings, etc.) and computer systems, including A.S.N.’s for OSV’s for other EPT facilitiesPerform other related duties, such as preparing items for UPS/FEDEX shipment, signing freight bills, weighting materials, making out receiving reports and bills of lading, debit memo’s, etc.Maintain material inventory accuracy through machine sheets, formulas for usage, grades, etc., in the computer system. Provide information about materials to appropriate personnel.Call suppliers on certification problems.Use forklift truck to load or unload parts, materials, equipment, etc., to and from trucks and to deliver large or heavy materials to departments. Operate shrink wrap machine as required.Unpack, check, and sort supplies received for various departments, noting quantities received and condition. Make delivery of supplies to requisitioning department. Separate items that require inspection.Assist with the loading and unloading of steel with the crane operator.Keep dock and surrounding area in a neat and orderly condition.Monitor loading and unloading operations at dock. Enforce plant safety regulations for all persons entering docks in compliance with the C-T-Pat requirements.
