Job Title: Freight Clerk/Coordinator Job Description Join our dynamic Transportation Operations team as a Logistics Specialist, where you will assist in managing daily freight movements into and out of our North American fulfillment centers. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new team in a rapidly growing area. Ideal candidates will have experience in transportation and excellent customer service skills. You will coordinate between multiple parties to ensure high levels of customer service and work independently in a high-pressure environment. Responsibilities + Manage daily freight movements flowing into and out of North American fulfillment centers. + Maintain continual, tactical communication and account management with external customers, including carriers and vendors/suppliers. + Pull data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL, etc.) and perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed. + Review data and reports related to appointment and arrival times to make business decisions and process improvements. + Create and present narratives outlining weekly findings and variances to goals. + Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs and measure activities performed. + Lead initiatives to re-engineer business processes and identify root causes of defects to drive efficiency. + Systematically escalate problems or variances in information and data to relevant owners and teams, ensuring resolution delivery. + Develop performance metrics to assist in driving business results. + Scope out business and functional requirements for tech teams to create and enhance software systems and tools. + Quickly understand the business impact of trends and make data-based decisions. Essential Skills + Experience in transportation and logistics. + Exceptional customer service skills. + Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. + Ability to coordinate between multiple parties. + Proficiency in pulling data from databases and performing reporting and analysis. + Ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Transportation and logistics experience is a plus. + Customer service experience with de-escalating and problem-solving. + Analytical experience. + Ability to take calls and manage customer accounts, conflict resolution, and escalation calls. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
