Role Summary:
The Shipping, Receiving, and Logistics Coordinator will interact with manufacturing, planning, inventory, and carriers in a rapidly growing, vertically integrated product design and manufacturing environment to receive, move, and ship products, both domestically and internationally. Working onsite in the manufacturing and warehouse facility under the direction of the site Materials Manager, the Shipping and Receiving Clerk will be responsible for:
Responsibilities:
Adhering to all safety rules and employee safety programs at the site,
Ensure export control and customs clearance requirements are met in accordance with regulatory and company policies
Receiving materials, including unloading trucks and correctly recording the shipment
Create, update, and process paper and online shipping and receiving orders from domestic and international suppliers and customers
Shipping product/materials, including loading trucks in accordance with policies
Coordinate pickups, track and monitor shipments, obtain proof of delivery and troubleshoot problems by contacting suppliers and shipping companies
Perform some materials handling tasks including storing materials, picking orders, and cycle counting
Using appropriate reporting and operating systems, including the site’s ERP system,
Communicating clearly and effectively with manufacturing, sales, engineering, and quality department colleagues,
Performing supporting tasks required to complete manufacturing or purchasing operations,
Performing data entry and related computer-based activities as necessary,
Additional related duties deemed appropriate by manager
Requirements:
High school diploma / GED and 2 to 5 years relevant experience
Related experience or training including knowledge of warehouse management and working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Symix, etc.)
Experience with carrier online portals such as FedEx, UPS
Forklift experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to type and use smartphones
Ability to use Windows operating system and basic proficiency using Microsoft Excel
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
Preferred Experience/Skills:
Experience using Microsoft Outlook
Experience coordinating shipments with export control requirements
In addition to English, ability to communicate in Polish, Ukrainian, or Spanish
Percentage of Approximate Travel Required: < 5%
