**Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Associate** **Job Description** This position involves the loading of trucks overnight to ensure readiness for morning departures. The role may require operating forklifts, side loaders, or overhead cranes, as well as reading work orders to locate and load parts onto trucks. The position offers a choice between two shifts: 1st shift from 6am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, and 3rd shift from 9:30pm to 6am, Sunday to Thursday. **Responsibilities** + Complete basic, routine tasks following detailed instructions. + Move inventory or equipment, fill customer orders, pull material from racks, unload incoming material, load trucks and/or customer vehicles, and help maintain warehouse upkeep. + Receive, place, and return items into stock inventory locations. + Pull and assemble orders based on reviewing work/shipping orders or other documentation. + Tag material for proper identification and complete all required documentation. + Move material from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas using forklifts, side loaders, or cranes. + Operate yard truck for loading and unloading trailers. + Maintain work area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. + Sort and place material on rack, shelves, or bins according to sequence such as size, type, or product code. + Perform spot checks on inventory and complete daily or ad hoc checks for proper tagging of material, as directed. + Report any irregularities to supervisor for direction. + Restock material as needed. + Occasionally drive motor vehicle (non-DOT truck) for local deliveries and parts pick-ups. + Adhere to and ensure compliance with applicable safety and quality standards. + Perform all other duties and responsibilities assigned by management. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in forklift operation and material handling. + Experience in shipping and receiving processes. + Ability to lift 100 pounds occasionally and 60 pounds repetitively. + Basic computer proficiency and working knowledge of software applications. + Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and apply common sense understanding. + Basic measurement skills, including taking, converting, and using measurements for math computations. + Basic arithmetic skills to calculate and convert decimals and fractions. + Manual dexterity, finger dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and multi-limb coordination. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 0-5 years of relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience. + High School diploma or GED preferred. + Warehousing and material handling experience preferred. + Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively. + Ability to make sound decisions based on knowledge, experience, and judgment. + Ability to stand for sustained periods of time. + Ability to push or pull 80 pounds of force. + Ability to go up and down off truck trailers repeatedly. + Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with supervisors and co-workers. **Why Work Here?** This role offers a direct placement opportunity in a team environment where collaboration is key. The dress code requires jeans or work pants; shorts, sweats, or leggings are not permitted. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $20.00/hr.
