Job Description:

Location: Torrington, Connecticut

CoWorx Staffing is currently hiring a skilled Shipping and Receiving Associate for a position in Torrington, CT. This role involves confirming that the contents of all outgoing shipments match the Sales Order and Packing Slip details, ensuring proper packaging to prevent damage during transit, and processing orders through the designated carrier. The Shipping and Receiving Associate will also enter international customs documentation accurately to avoid clearance issues, and review all printed labels and international paperwork for correctness. In addition, the position includes handling receiving duties for incoming goods, verifying the accuracy of shipments based on the Purchase Order and Packing Slip, and contacting vendors to resolve any discrepancies.

Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities:

· Packages and ships using carrier services UPS, FedEx, and DHL
· Prepares domestic and international documents as needed
· Schedules outgoing shipments with carriers
· Keeps current on all state, federal, and international shipping regulations to ensure compliance
· Manages communications to clear shipment exception details
· Works closely with Quality to ensure incoming materials meet requirements for production
· Evaluates current processes and offers recommendations for improvement and streamlining on an ongoing basis
· Develops and keeps good relationships with vendors
· Receives incoming deliveries accurately and efficiently
· Handles RMA receiving and documents accurately in CRM
· Maintains proper levels of all shipping, office, and kitchen supplies

Desired Background/Skills:

General Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with domestic and international shipping and receiving
· MRP system experience, preferably CRM and/or Dynamics 365 Business Central
· Analytical and problem-solving skills
· Strong negotiation and communication skills
· Sufficient in Microsoft Office
· Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
· Ability to multi-task and take initiative
· Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
· Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing preferred
· Knowledge of international shipping processes required

Other Information:

Salary for this position is between 45,000-50,000 depending on experience. Shift would be Monday- Friday 8am-4:30pm.
