Latitude has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our team in Stevensville, Maryland to provide exceptional service to internal and external customers and contribute to the company’s overall success and growth. Duties and ResponsibilitiesReceive all incoming packages into the warehouse, determine the correct course of action for each package and follow procedures.Perform inbound visual inspections for damages.Perform quality inspections per approved inspection plans, read and interpret engineering drawings to determine inspection criteria.Deliver inspected parts to appropriate locations.Report damages and discrepancies following Quality Nonconformance Procedure.Transfer inspected materials to appropriate warehouse location or job carts.Assist other Departments with moving freight as directed.Assist other Departments with inventory requests.Perform Arc Lamp inspection, build triangle boxes to order.Process manufacturing orders, update schedule, process changes in company's inventory system and deliver parts to the appropriate locations.Perform cycle counts weekly and report information to Materials for reconciliation.Proactively report lost/found inventory to Materials.Coordinate outbound traffic; ocean, air and domestic to maximize the cost effectiveness of this function and prepare materials for domestic and international shipping.Properly and accurately complete all required paperwork (including all international paperwork per Country requirements) to ensure timely shipment of products and compliance with import/export laws.Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using work devices such as hand tools, power tools, and postage meter.Will be trained to support and back up QC Inspection.Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Ability to strictly and consistently follow Procedures and Work Instructions.Proficient computer knowledge, including Microsoft office and databases.Ability to use inspection equipment such as calipers and micrometer to measure products.Familiar with FedEx and UPS.Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.Basic math skills.Scissor lift and forklift operation experience / ability to be certified in forklift operations.Desire and ability to act as a leader within the department. International Shipping experience is a plus!3 years of experience in a warehouse environment in a shipping/receiving role. Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diplomaAssociate's Degree preferred Physical RequirementsRegularly required to sit, walk and stand. Must be able to talk and hear in-person and by telephone. Must be able to use hands repetitively to operate standard office equipment.Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, etc. without limitations.Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
