Shipping and Receiving Coordinator

Catalent’s Greenville, N.C. facility specializes in end-to-end turn-key solutions for oral solid dosage forms, including integrated formulation development, analytical services, commercial manufacturing, and packaging. The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator will oversee the efficient handling and movement of goods, ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries to external customers in both Commercial and Pre-Commercial Operations. The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator will also perform tasks including coordinating shipment, addressing discrepancies, ensuring regulatory compliance and continually optimizing shipping and receiving procedures while working closely with internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
Hours: 7am - 5 pm; Monday - Thursday and 8 am -12 pm on Fridays.
The Role
Plan and schedule shipments to external customers, coordinating transportation modes and carriers to ensure on-time delivery while minimizing costs.
Promptly address and resolve any discrepancies in shipping, receiving or inventory.
Continuously assess and improve shipping and receiving processes, identifying opportunities to streamline operations and enhance overall efficiency.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for shipping, receiving, and storage of materials, including hazardous materials handling when applicable.
Track and monitor shipments throughout the transportation process, ensuring visibility and proactively resolving any delays or challenges.
Perform routine administrative and physical tasks related to the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of products/inventory, samples, results or any client-related materials, in compliance with DOT/IATA regulations.
Inspect all items for quality and damages during the receiving, storing, and shipping processes and report any issues to management.

The Candidate
Bachelor's degree with 1+ years of shipping/receiving experience in a warehouse setting is required (or)
Associate degree with 2+ years of shipping/receiving experience in a warehouse setting is required (or)
High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of shipping/receiving experience in a warehouse setting is required.
Previous experience driving a box truck is preferred.
Must be able to operate machinery such as sit-down or stand-up forklifts and pallet jacks to perform, routine physical handling of items.
Must be able to understand quality standards, methods, procedures and reporting as required.
Knowledge of DOT and IATA regulations.
ERP experience is a plus, specifically in SAP.
Position requires the ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs. unassisted.
Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
Requires bending, squatting, reaching, pushing, climbing.
Requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Some exposure to hazardous chemical and other active chemical ingredients .
