SUMMARY:

In charge of all receiving and shipping duties, including packaging and processing shades for outbound shipments, domestic as well as International.

Responsible for all receiving and shipping duties, including, but not limited to packaging and processing shades and orders for outbound domestic and international shipments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Prepares and packages shades for outbound shipping in a timely manner and meets deadlines. Domestic/International – Manages and maintains the shipping database for Domestic/International shipments, tracks shipments, provides tracking information, updates the shipping portal. 

Able to proficiently build crates for larger shipments, using the power tools provided, including crates for specialized shades.

Prepares all hardware for every shade and order to facilitate final installation, and the required hardware is included and shipped with each order.

Processes shipments by computer and tracks inquiries. Keep organized and accurate information for all shipments, including files and updating the computer system.

Receives incoming shipments (including shade shipment from Asia), signing for incoming shipments and verify documents and shipments received are accurate and production is notified of shipments received.

Prepares Domestic and International quotes for Customer service and Sales Team as requested and in a timely manner. 

Maintains professional and positive working relationship with associates and customers.

Focus on continuous improvement and accurate shipping.

Maintains will-call database and accuracy weekly.

Maintains a clean and orderly warehouse that is highly organized and functional.

Point of contact for any issues pertaining to trash or recycle removal.

Maintain inventory control of shipping materials.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of U.S. currency, measuring tape and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

SAFETY AND SECURITY: Observes safety and security procedures; Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; Reports and corrects potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.

Salary: $21.00 per hour

A starting compensation range for this role is $17.25 - $24.65. Relevant salary considerations will include candidate qualifications and experience, other business/organizational needs and market factors .
