TITLE: Shipping & Receiving Operator
LOCATION: South Sioux City, NE
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
Ingredion is hiring a Shipping & Receiving Operator in South Sioux City, NE. We are looking for a Shipping & Receiving Operator to safely and efficiently perform the job functions of loading/unloading trailers, moving pallets of product, palletizing bags, picking orders, completing documentation, and cleaning in the various Warehouse area. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, be self-motivated, and work well in a team setting. Candidates are required to be computer literate, read and write in English, and work in a team environment with little supervision.
As a Shipping & Receiving Operator, your responsibilities will include:
Commitment to support and participate in our strong Safety culture of zero injury mindset.
Immediately mitigates safety, health and environmental incidents or concerns, searching out assistance when needed.
Ensures compliance with incident and accident investigation including Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and subsequent Corrective Actions.
Ensures compliance with all plant regulatory, ISO, Quality, Food Safety systems, GMP policies, guidelines, standards and requirements.
Learn and perform all job functions within the warehouse including loading/unloading trailers, moving pallets of product, palletizing bags, picking orders, completing documentation and cleaning
Learn and be able to identify all packaged finished good products, packaging and raw material items
Complete shipping, receiving and inspection documents neatly and accurately
Manage product inventory and follow first in-first out shipping and rotation principles
Achieve fork lift certification
Maintain a positive attitude and focus on customer relations
Willingness to assist wherever needed in the warehouse
Self-motivated, ability to complete tasks with minimal direction
Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions
Follow all plant and food safety rules and procedures

Qualified candidates will have:
High School diploma or equivalent, post-secondary education is preferred
Ability to work as part of a team and be capable of self-direction
Good verbal communication skills
SAP Warehouse Management (WM) experience
Basic computer and math skills
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Ability and willingness to train in other job classifications
Good decision-making skills
Previous warehouse experience and material handling experience are preferred
Flexibility and ability to deal well with ambiguity as job focus and assignments may change daily and by the hour
Regular and prompt attendance
Ability to move throughout the facility, including climbing stairs in all buildings
Ability to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. This person is occasionally required to sit. This person must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
