Job Description

Position Summary:  Perform duties associated with the Shipper/Packer to achieve performance goals. This position’s primary function is to verify and package materials for shipment documenting all efforts in Navision.

Responsibility:

Deliver completed parts and completed orders to area of next operation or designation. Be familiar with the part numbering system and part identification. Accumulate and package all items and products related to specific shipment requirements, to ensure accurate and damage free shipmentsComplete and provide accurate documentation for specific shipmentsLoad shipments onto trucks, taking pictures and documentUse steel tape measure, weighing and counting equipment, computers, and appropriate handling equipmentOperate Forklift.Follow all safety rules and practicesKeep area cleanKnow and follow all lockout/tagout proceduresSupport and follow company policies and procedures

Skills:

High School Diploma or GEDPositive attitude with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.Minimum of 3 years of forklift & reach truck experienceMust pass pre-employment and random drug screen.Ability to lift, up to 50 lbs.Must have intermediate computer user knowledge.Shipping and Receiving experience required.Demonstrated commitment to safety.Must have mobility to move around the facilitiesMust be able to read and interpret Bill of Lading and/or packing slip.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a production environmentOccasional exposure to industrial operations (temperatures, noise, moisture, moving machinery).
