Job Description
The Pharmacy Shipping Associate is responsible for packing and shipping prescriptions according to client specifications and other assigned duties. The role involves performing routine and professional pharmacy functions, ensuring timely and accurate packing and shipping of prescription orders, maintaining a clean and orderly work environment, and adhering to all company policies and procedures.
ResponsibilitiesAccurately pack and ship prescription orders in a timely manner.Stock freezers with gel packs.Follow all procedures and pack-out processes when shipping an order.Respect and follow HIPAA and privacy law guidelines, along with any other local or federal laws.Enforce and adhere to all company policies and procedures.Perform Quality Assurance checks on automated technology related to pharmacy equipment and shipping requirements.Maintain a clean and orderly work site.Ensure an adequate stock of boxes and supplies at the shipping station.Additional Skills & QualificationsPreferred: One-year minimum of shipping/receiving experience.Ability to communicate effectively, patiently, and courteously.Ability to learn from a variety of techniques.Ability to follow established process flows.Ability to work effectively in highly stressful situations, exhibiting flexibility in changing situations.Work Environment
This position requires working in a standing environment, typically during the hours of 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM. The role involves performing job activities 100% inside, with exposure to noise and vibrations. The candidate must be able to reach overhead, handle, and feel, as well as stand, bend, stoop, and sit for prolonged periods of time. The ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds is also required.
Pay Rate: $16/hr
