Shipping/Case Supervisor - 2p-10:30p M-F

JOB OVERVIEW:

Responsible for ensuring that customer orders in the form of case quantities are picked in a timely and efficient manner. Expedites all line hauls as necessary. Supervises Case Pick department, hires new team members, conducts performance reviews, recommends wage increases, monitors attendance, and responsible for the early stages of conflict resolution. Tracks daily, weekly, and monthly hour usage and work completion levels to meet or exceed established budgets. Researches, identifies, and corrects issues that cause inefficiencies in productivity and accuracy. Responsible for the timely, accurate, efficient, and safe shipment of domestic and international customer orders. As necessary, works with staff to complete departmental workload.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Responsible for ensuring that customer orders in the form of case quantities are picked in a timely and efficient manner. Check status on line haul cases one hour before departure and expedites if necessary.Supervises the Case Pick/Shipping department, hires new team members, conducts performance reviews, recommends wage increases, monitors attendance, and responsible for early stages of conflict resolution.Tracks daily, weekly, and monthly hour usage and work completion levels to meet or exceed established budgets. Researches, identifies, and corrects issues that cause inefficiencies in productivity and accuracy.Tracks and prioritizes daily orders by division and ship code to ensure all are completed in a timely manner.Responsible for maintaining a complete understanding of all Case Pick/Shipping functions, computer screens, and reporting.Maintains awareness of how the department impacts customers, both internal and external, and the department’s overall impact on the operation.As necessary, works with staff to complete departmental workload. Monitors and troubleshoots conveyors to maintain consistent workflow.Performs other reasonably related duties that may be assigned.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: 

General warehousing experience including and at least one year in a lead or supervisory role, or the equivalent required.General warehouse knowledge and strong understanding of the functions.  Basic PC skills.  Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Ability to pass machine driver safety training for all required equipment.High school diploma or the equivalent.

WORK EXPERIENCE: 

Typically 4 or more years of related support experience; 3 or more years of management experience.

                                                                                                                         

PREFERRED EDUCATION: 

Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
