Broadridge is growing! We are currently recruiting a Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic team in Edgewood.

Work Mode: This is an on-site role that will be assigned to a Broadridge location where you will work 100% of the time.

Basic Purpose: Lead by example in a fast-paced production environment.  Packages and Scans materials with high attention to Quality.  Ensure that orders will be completed correctly and on time. Identifies problems that can occur within the operations environment and provides solutions. Assumes responsibility for communicating, promoting, and incorporating the environment of Cost and Quality. Prioritize all client orders/mailings on production floor to ensure all contractual requirements are met. 

Responsibilities:

Monitors the order workflow while following quality procedures.Training new hires on quality procedures, leads by setting a good example, and provides input for improvement of the teamEnsure that items are properly packed and labeled. Participates in inspection of materials and orders to ensure accuracy. Ensures all jobs are mailed within SLA Ensure the Shipping floor is organized.Maintains and organizes adequate shipping supplies Able to maintain department database, prepare routine reports, and file shipping recordsRuns daily reports in the ordering systems and internal databases to ensure all orders required are completed and mailedCommunicates via email about the completion of SLA and special requests for all Marcom clientsAbility to lift and manipulate heavy objects up to 40 lbs.Ability to work well in a team environment.Accountable to adhere to client SLA and works closely with the fulfillment and QC clerks to ensure turnaround and job qualityAble to determine the most economical and efficient shipping methodUnderstands and follows established area policies, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety control standardsUse computer hardware and software to generate labels and maintain equipment.Identifies problems that can occur within the operations environment and suggests ways to eliminate the obstacles and improve workflowActs as the first contact for Client Services when shipping information is needed and aims to provide timely feedback.Participate actively in daily operations meetings and projects to evaluate workflow and look for opportunities to enhance processesMust be a team player and willing to share knowledge to help people grow and developAbility to multitask and understand the importance of cross training in order to assist with increased volume in different departmentsMust be able to transport material from one place to another and to carry up to 40 poundsEnsure the service provided meets client expectationsAbility to work flexible hours/scheduleMaintain professional appearance and adhere to the dress code

Qualifications:

High School Degree and equivalent experience preferredKnowledge of a Shipping/Production environment. Ability to apply production procedures to day-to-day operations.MS Excel/Word ExperienceCapable of working in a very fast-paced environment where working quickly to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality is essential.Ability to work in a team environment.  Maintains focus under pressure and meeting deadlinesFunctional/technical skillsAttention to detailWritten communication skillsAbility to work under tight deadlines and handle pressure effectively

Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is $18.00 – 19.50 USD Hourly.
