Job Description

  

Job Summary:

ResponsibilitiesAssemble packaging materials and packages merchandise per instructions, in preparation for shipment.Enter data pertaining to domestic and international shipments into the company’s ERP system, the shipping systems of commercial freight carriers as well as U.S. customs fillings.Monitor the supply of packaging materials and requisition additional supplies as required.Confirm physical shipment of goods and facilitate tracking of packages.Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule pick-up of goods.Identify errors on packing lists & invoices and correct themRequirements

·         Computer skills/data entry skills

·         Strong sense of priority

·         Ability to lift at least 65 lbs; Stand for long periods of time.

·         Communicate well with people; have a positive attitude.

·         Comprehend terminology used for shipments.

·         Familiarity with Fed-Ex, DHL, Freight Trucks and UPS/WorldShip shipping procedures.

·         A firm understanding of international shipping documents is preferable, but not mandatory.

·         Demonstrate accuracy, responsibility and thoroughness with all work and projects.

·         Excellent attendance/punctuality.

·         Ability to work overtime when needed.

·         Accuracy and the ability to meet deadlines.
