Key Responsibilities
Responsible for shipping products to customers. Verify and keep records on outgoing products. Complete transactions in shipping computer system to assure proper shipment of product to customers. Keep are organized for shipments to customers. Utilize a variety of material handling equipment to move product into organized outbound area.
Essential Responsibilities
Perform shipping duties. (Parcel, Export, Loading, packing, etc.)Work to hit daily shipping goals set forth by the Leadership Team and Customer demand.Operate material handling equipment to safely move outbound product into staging area.Work as a team player with all employees to assure product flows smoothly.Maintain manual/computerized records and files. Generate shipping/receiving reports and documentation.Process all required paperwork. Complete bills of lading and other required forms with a high level of accuracy. Orders need to be closed in system as required.Able to work all overtime required and fill in for lead person when they are out of the area.Able to use parcel computer program to accurately address outbound shipments for pickup for parcel service.Transport material to staging areas, inventory areas and other designated areas.Verify count/weight, and check items ready for shipment against the customer order. Work with Production Control and Customer Service to resolve any discrepancies.Repack any part orders to shipping standards to ensure quality of product arrives at customer (internal and External) undamaged.Keep adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures.Work in a safe manner and follow all safety rules and procedures to ensure personal safety as well as safety of others.Keep work area neat and orderly (6s standards).When limited/no work in area, provide assistance to other departments as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum Requirements
Two years of high school but prefer High School Diploma or GEDSome computer skills required; PC and terminal use, and basic data entry skillsAbility to perform to verbal instructions, as well as read/write English and interpret documentsGood computer skills both for internal system and PC.Ability to use basic mathAbility to work with minimal supervisionAbility to be responsible with motorized equipmentGood eye/hand coordination and good motor skillsSatisfactorily pass in-company forklift driver training program and demonstrates in a “road test” safe handling of forklift truckBenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision and Prescription Drug Coverage
