Job Summary
Contacts vendors and shippers to ensure that merchandise, supplies and equipment are forwarded on a specified date.
Primary Duties
+ Maintain sales order flow to meet customer deadlines
+ Maintain order flow through the parcel and dock areas to meet customer deadlines
+ Contact with freight and parcel carriers
+ Contact with internal Sales and Customer Service teams
+ Maintain office and warehouse supplies inventory
+ Maintain department performance metrics
+ Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
+ Releasing work, via SAP, to the floor
+ Managing the work flow on the floor and in the Parcel area to meet customer deadlines
+ Assist order pickers and material handlers with questions
+ Entering data into performance management tool
+ Running Access queries
+ Recommend opportunities to eliminate process waste (lean)
+ Solve problems to meet customer demand
+ Prepare and produce Bills of Ladings
+ Place orders for operating supplies
+ Support other clerical functions as requested
+ Qualifications:
+ Must be computer literate and have working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
+ Working knowledge of SAP screens and functionality, preferred.
+ Physical Requirement: Must be able to properly lift, pack, stack and wrap up 50 pounds on a regular basis
+ Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to touch, grasp, handle and feel items. Noise level is usually moderate. Warehouse temperature may reach up to 90 degrees during the Summer months.
Education / Experience
+ Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school (preferred); or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
