Job Summary The Shipping Coordinator ensures the effective and efficient movement of outgoing orders. Communicating effectively, works as a member of a team to ship the product in a thorough, accurate and rapid-response manner. Essential Duties & Responsibilities · Ensures accurate address · Required shipment paperwork; shipment data, transportation method, transportation space and shipping charges, bill of ladings · Relies on instructions, pre-established guidelines and adheres to practice, policy and procedure of the assigned location to perform the functions of the job · Completes shipping reports · Ensures all documentation is in order and entered into the appropriate tracking system · Efficiently communicate shortage notices and order revisions to involved parties · Track and comply with special shipping requirements for orders · Tracks the temperature tails (Pimm log tags) on all shipped orders · Manage CHEP account(s) as assigned · Assist in troubleshooting of the JD Edwards system · Order supplies, including templates, from vendors and track inventory stock · Attend staff and department meetings · Actively participate on EOE Teams that improve workplace safety, reduce waste and improve factory efficiencies · Report any and all injuries to your supervisor or manager at the time of injury. · May be required to work overtime if deemed necessary with occasional weekend work. · Performs all other duties as assigned · Complete all required training in a timely manner · Adhere to ERU food safety policies and all government food safety and sanitation regulations (ex. FDA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA) Qualifications / Minimum Requirements · High School Diploma or GED · Some warehouse or shipping experience desired · Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, percentages, fractions, and decimals · Basic computer skills including e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheets · Good written and verbal communication skills · Ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure · Good organization and problem-solving skills · Detail-oriented nature · Ability to work with limited supervision · No travel required Physical Demands These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Work Environment The distribution center floor is a busy facility. The Shipping Coordinator will have exposure to a moderate level of constant noise that may make it difficult to concentrate. The plant conditions vary greatly in temperatures from hot and cold with exposure to dust and fumes.
