Shipping Coordinator

At Caterpillar’s Tucson Proving Ground (TPG), we develop and test large mining and heavy construction machines to ensure that we deliver a quality product to our customers. In this role as the Shipping Coordinator, you will report to the Supply Chain Function and will be primarily responsible of preparing, verifying and processing domestic and international shipments ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods. We have a fabulous team that does some of the most exciting work at Caterpillar, and we can’t wait for you to join the team! **What you will do:** • Arranging for adjustments or replacements for lost or damaged merchandise. • Keeping records for incoming shipments and products; checking the quantity, quality, and basic condition of contents to ensure alignment with the original order. • Moving shipments to the proper departments and maintaining records for reference. • Preparing invoices, shipping documents, and mailing labels; keeping records of all shipments. **What skills you will have:** Transportation: Knowledge of transportation; ability to transport materials and goods to and from suppliers, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities and customers. Arranging for adjustments or replacements for lost or damaged merchandise. Import/Export: Experience in International Shipping Requirements and Import/Export Compliance. Knowledge of issues, procedures, tools, and practices of importing and exporting; ability to import and export goods to and from international locations. Service Excellence: Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner. Must be able to effectively communicate and work with all levels of personnel both inside and outside the Company. Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision. Flexibility and Adaptability: Knowledge of successful approaches and techniques for dealing with change; ability to adapt to a changing environment and be comfortable with change. Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner. Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations. Distribution Requirements Planning: Knowledge of the process, issues, and considerations for systematically managing distribution of inventory for multiple plants or warehouses; ability to apply related knowledge and experience in real practice. **Top Candidates will also have:** College or university degree related to Supply Chain, or Logistics. **Additional Information:** The primary location for this position is Tucson Proving Ground, Green Valley, AZ. Domestic relocation assistance is not available. This position may require 0-5 % travel. Sponsorship is not available. **Summary Pay Range:** $71,040.00 - $106,440.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
