POSITION PURPOSE AND SCOPE:   This Shipping Coordinator is responsible for performing the physical and/or administrative duties involved in shipping, handling, receiving, storing, counting, packaging and distributing of equipment, materials, merchandise and similar items. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: + Pulls and prepares all outbound shipments efficiently and accurately. + Coordinate with freight companies to schedule shipment pickups. + Prepare bill lading and international shipping documents in Excel. + Receive inbound freight. + Assists with inventory counts. + Ensures warehouse is organized and clean. + Provides preventative maintenance of forklift and works with maintenance department to coordinate minor – major repairs of equipment. + Assists on the Order Fulfillment Line as required, + Any other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned. Note: This is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee may be requested to perform other duties as requested. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 1 year in administrative functions, or equivalent combination of education and experience SKILLS AND ABILITIES:   + Related work experience in manufacturing environment preferred. + Oracle Experience is preferred, but not required. + Knowledge of shipping internationally is required. + Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. + Knowledge of MS Applications required. + Strong critical thinking and communications skills. + Ability to work well with others and within a team environment. + Ability to handle stressful situations and multiple projects. + Basic math skills. + Ability to work long hours, rotating shifts, and/or weekends. + Ability to lift up to 75 lbs with or without the aid of equipment. + Forklift certified. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Long hours standing, sitting, bending, twisting, walking, climbing stairs. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Manufacturing/office environment which may include loud noise levels for extended periods of time, long hours standing, sitting, bending, twisting, walking, climbing stairs, strong odors, lifting up to 75 lbs, confined spaces, warm or cold temperatures, wet/slippery and slick surface environment.   Powered by JazzHR
