Temp-to-Hire position$17.00 /hourFull Time work availableSecond Shift (Monday through Friday from 12:00pm to 08:00pm)-Responsible for outbound shipping duties
-Assemble shipping orders including Full Truckload, LTL and small parcel containers following company and customer requirements.
Responsible for picking and packing products, labeling containers, building pallets, wrapping pallets, ensuring correct paperwork is completed for shipment and loading trucks. This position ensures on-time delivery and ensures products ship per customer specifications. Duties and responsibilities
•Pick, prepare, inspect, and ship products from our warehouse locations using FIFO/FEFO standards.
•Properly label cartons, pallets or other shipping containers meeting customer procedures
•Use software to systematically move and load inventory to Order.
•Verify the correctness of outbound shipments against bills of lading, packing slip(s) and invoices
•Load finished product onto trailers, following safety procedures.
•Maintain a safe and clean work area
•Communicate with Logistics Department to ensure accuracy of customer sales orders.
•Maintain a 95% or greater accuracy rating.
•Other duties as assigned
Shipping/Forklift Operator Qualifications:
3 years forklift experience required
•Ability to work and accommodate changing deadlines with a focus on organizational skills and initiative.
•Ability to maintain high levels of customer requirements.
•Ability to work well in both individual and team environments.
•Ability to manage the technical capacity of tasks (i.e. handling products, using our computer system, and department procedures)
•-Must be able to work any/all shifts as assigned or required
•-Must be able to work overtime as necessary
•-Hair restraint, beard net (if needed), and Safety gloves where warranted
•-Lifting at times of up to 50 lbs. without assistance and standing 8 hours
