The Shipping Lead Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient and compliant movement of goods across international borders. This role encompasses the management of customs procedures, transportation logistics, and the timely delivery of products to their final destinations. The Shipping Lead Technician will play a critical role in facilitating smooth and cost-effective shipping operations, ensuring that all shipments meet regulatory requirements, and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.

Your key responsibilities

Ensure all shipments comply with international customs regulations and requirementsPrepare and submit accurate customs documentation, including import/export declarations, invoices, and certificates of originCoordinate and manage the transportation of goods from origin to destination, including selecting appropriate shipping methods (air, sea, road)Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics providersMonitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and address any transportation-related issuesArrange for the final delivery of goods to customers or distribution centersMaintain accurate records of all shipping transactions; generate reports on shipping activities, costs, and performance metrics

Proven experience in Shipping, Logistics, or Supply Chain managementStrong knowledge of international customs regulations and proceduresExcellent organizational and time-management skillsEffective communication and negotiation abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAttention to details and problem-solving skills
