UniFirst First Aid + Safety is seeking a reliable and hardworking Shipping Lead to join our family. As a Team Partner in the Production Department, with the direction of the Operations Supervisor, the

Shipping Lead oversees and directs the activities of the team that pick, pack and ship customer orders. When working with UniFirst First Aid + Safety we provide a variety of shifts. Our standard is a 5-day work week, enjoy two days off a week. We have an immediate opening and provide on the job training.

What you’ll be doing:

Perform quality audits to ensure accuracy of outgoing shipments.Resolve all order picking, packing, and shipping errors.Report all error findings to Operations Supervisor.Update dashboards ensuring visibility of all sales orders.Manage all sales orders, Grainger, Fastenal, and Amazon, to ensure all ordersare accurate and shipped on time.Create and manage shipping batches daily.Update Advance Shipping Notifications (ASN’s) daily.Ensure all same day orders are metered and staged by mid-morning for pickup.Direct staging and loading of outbound freight shipping via common carrier and LTL carriers.Ensure shipments are being sent out on correct carriers as directed by the Fulfillment and Logistics Supervisors and/or by picking sheets.Follow Current Good Manufacturing Processes (cGMP).Perform other duties as described by leadership.
Qualifications

What we’re looking for:  
•    High school education and/or GED equivalent.
•    Must be 16 years of age or older.
•    Must be at least 18 years of age or older to operate machinery.
•    At least 2 years of relevant experience is preferred. 
•    Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English.
•    Ability to work well with others in the workplace. 
•    Must be detail-orientated.
•    Capacity to follow directions by leadership.
•    Ability to stand throughout an 8-hour shift. 
•    Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
