About the role:
The Shipping Manager oversees the Warehouse/Shipping Department, including safety awareness. This position also supports VES implementation through Standard Work, the Problem-Solving Process, and Kaizen event suggestions and participation.
Day to day you will:
Implement VES fundamental tools with a heavy focus on daily management, continual improvement, and problem solving.
Contribute to the management of either shipping/receiving or production.
Evaluate and modify finished good Min/Max inventory levels; update balance adjustments; and conduct audits; cycle counting.
Manage the development and review of Emergency Contingency Plans.
Act as Onsite Emergency Coordinator and Liaison to Emergency Response Providers (Fire, Medical, and Environmental Agencies).
Assist in the development of the annual operations budget; identify capital and facility maintenance costs; and implement cost minimization practices.
Ensure compliance with SOP; improve employee job skills; provide specialized training and seminars.
Enforce policy; maintain documentation; and ensure compliance with EMS (ISO14001), HSMS, and QMS (ISO 9001), working with Compliance Conformance Manager and associated staff.
Assist with recruitment, hiring, staffing, performance appraisals, and employee development.
Participate in corrective and preventative action practices as they relate to product quality.
Identify and properly handle hazardous waste.
Establish and maintain relationships with local contractors; manage and oversee work performed by building, service, and transportation-related contractors.
Field customer/sales inquiries; resolve customer/sales issues; support the decision-making process for customers and sales.
Develop the 1 to 5 Year Capital Appropriations Plan; oversee project management; develop plant expansion needs to match operations growth.
Maintain awareness of ChemTreat EMS policy and procedures.
Are you qualified?
Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred with 2 - 5 years of Industrial Management/Supervisory/Shipping Experience
QMS (Quality Management System) experience and EMS (Environmental Management System) experience
Experience in inventory management
Forklift experience consisting of inspection, operation and training required
Microsoft Office and CRT/data entry
Must be fully trained in all departments of Plant Operations with lean manufacturing; chemical plant experience preferred
CDL preferred

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 USD per year.We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
