Shipping Operator
Our client, a leader in the shipping and logistics industry, is seeking a Shipping Operator to join their team. As a Shipping Operator, you will be part of the logistics department supporting the shipping and receiving team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title:** Shipping Operator **Location:** Carlsbad, CA **What's the Job?** + Safely perform daily loading of shipments and packaging finished goods with minimum supervision. + Review logistics paperwork and interpret data to identify and address abnormal conditions. + Communicate with other departments and personnel in a professional and courteous manner. + Participate in safety audits/reviews and contribute to developing solutions for safety hazards. + Maintain manufacturing Kan Bans and monitor satellite warehouses for adherence to continuous improvement and housekeeping requirements. **What's Needed?** + Preferred 1-3 years of experience in shipping, with knowledge of domestic shipping of hazardous and non-hazardous materials. + High School diploma or GED. + Ability to recognize immediate and potential safety hazards and escalate to the proper supervisor. + Familiarity with material moving equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks. + Proficiency in Microsoft productivity software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; SAP experience preferred. **What's in it for me?** + Opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative team environment. + Gain valuable experience in shipping operations and logistics. + Participate in mandatory training to enhance your skills and knowledge. + Contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement. + Be part of a company that values teamwork and professional growth.
