Job SUMMARY

Company is looking for a Shipping/Loading/Material Handler. This position will be responsible for handling, loading, and unloading of parts and materials to designated areas. Helps maintain the yard and grounds and assists as needed throughout the facility. Must be forklift certified or be able to obtain certification and have ability to operate overhead crane. Must be able to perform tasks accurately and in a timely manner while maintaining all Company safety standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for assisting with loading and unloading trucks & trailers.

• Handle and transport materials/supplies from storage to designated areas.

• Review incoming materials against packing slips and purchase orders from vendors and third parties and accurately enter materials into Tekla using the P2 scanner. Work with Purchasing Agent to resolve any discrepancies.

• Loads materials onto flatbed, step decks, and double drop trailers.

• Assist in banding and palletizing equipment/parts.

• Assist in shipping and receiving powder coated and galvanized equipment.

• Keep inventory and yard neat and organized.

• Help maintain grounds – mowing, shoveling, filling gravel in lot, etc.

• Assist in loading and unloading the blast and paint rooms.

• Participate and complete take 2.5’s weekly.

• Kit parts for assembly as needed.

• Assist maintenance as needed.

• Fill out and submit daily inspection forms for mobile equipment.

• Assist in shop as assigned or delegated.

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to use overhead crane and mobile equipment (will train)

• Must be able to climb onto and off of trailers while wearing PPE

• Ability to read, interpret and apply safety rules, operating instructions, work instructions and packaging guidelines.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to work outside in all seasons for portions of shifts.

• Basic reading and writing skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• This job requires standing, sitting, lifting, bending, reaching, squatting, walking, and twisting.

• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Pay from $18-25/hr - based on experience.
