SummaryThe Gainesville, GA production facility is a fully-cooked, ready-to-eat, further processing facility within the Premium Prepared Foods division (no birds). We create products for consumers, retailers, and foodservice customers around the globe.
Operates powered industrial trucks (Forklift and/or Pallet Jack) to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines, loading docks and within facility locations. Usually works five to six days a week; overtime may be required based on production needs.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities Utilizing production schedules and/or shipping orders, transports materials or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility. Moves product packed on pallets or in crates as required. Checks to make sure loads are secure. May need to stack empty pallets. Notifies supervisor of any pallets which are not in the correct locations. Performs daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery. Examines products to verify conformance to quality standards. Required to use RF scanner hand held unit to scan pallets. Required to use ERP system and do cycle counts as needed. Maintains a clean and safety working environment. Performs all duties in a safe manner following facility guidelines. Minimum EducationHigh School or equivalent not required but beneficial.
Experience Requirements 0 - 2 years’ experience. Power Industrial Vehicle Experience (Electric Pallet Jack and Forklift). Good math, reading and writing skills. Basic computer skills may be required. Worked a minimum of 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer within the past 3 years. Experience PreferredExperience in shipping and receiving environment preferred.
Environmental Factors and Physical RequirementsWhen in a plant environment:
Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 0 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product -10 degrees to 40 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db. May be exposed to dust, and all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility. Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company. Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors 10ppm and chlorine less than 20 ppm. Able to stand for several hours. Able to walk for extended periods of time. Work may include lifting (up to 70 lbs) to heights of 5" to 84", reaching, bending, pushing boxes on conveyor assembly. May have to operate PIV for 9 plus hours.
